E. C. GARRETT.
When the county democratic convention recommended the nomination of Mr. E. C. Garrett as joint representative for Choteau and Cascade counties, it performed an act which is heartily endorsed by every democrat and many republicans in the county. It is no disparagement to the worth of his distinguished opponent to say that Mr. Garrett possesses in an eminent degree those qualifications which peculiarly fit him for the responsible position—energy, industry, ability and an intimate knowledge of the wants of the people of Choteau and Cascade counties. As justice of the peace of the township in which he resides the gentleman has satisfactorily discharged his duties and gained the confidence and respect of the community—a guaranty of his faithfulness to any trust that may be confided to his care. We predict his election by an emphatic majority.
