The Wound deeply penetrated the Brain and much fractured the Skull: The Woman lived without any signs of sensibility till next Morning, and then died.
This tragical Event, whereby a Number of helpless Infants are exposed to the world, deprived at once of both their parental supports, affords a melancholy Proof of the dangerous Effects of ungoverned passions-and consequently of all Practices whereby the powers of that Reason which is given us to govern and direct them, may be suspended or impaired.
