We are pleased to learn that our Minister to Great Britain, Mr. Edward Everett, will feel himself called on particularly to direct his attention to all machinations or movements which may be made in England or elsewhere, against what are called the peculiar institutions of the Southern States, but which, in reality, affect the rights and interests of our whole country. and that in this he will be directed and sustained by the Secretary of State, whose views with regard to this matter are known to be all that the South could desire.
