We sincerely regret to announce that The Dallas Daily Herald has been deprived of the Associated Press dispatches. For the past five or six months The Herald has been taking the full Associated Press report, the only paper in the State receiving the report made up at St. Louis. During this brief period The Herald has stepped to the front rank in Texas journalism—rivaling at once the Galveston News as a news-paper. In fact The Herald has become the paper of Northern and Central Texas For months past we have been able to furnish our readers with a synopsis of the dispatches on the same day they appear in The Herald. We certainly feel "under obligations to The Herald, and can sympathize with its proprietors in their loss, as it is our own and our readers as well. We are assured that The Herald will make every effort to secure full associated press dispatches, and we sincerely hope success, so well deserved, may crown their efforts.
