Full Text
Innocence, is a priceless gem. It is more valuable than all the gold, or ghostly pearls of earth. Kingdoms, principalities, nay all earthly honors and glory, would be a poor exchange for conscious innocence. It offends no one, has no enemies, is not scoffed at, stands in no man's way, and smiles at persecution.
The storms, which sometimes sweep away the guilty, begets no trepidation in the truly innocent. His bosom, is always tranquil, and his sea of life unrippled; and his end is peace.
