Dairy Farm.—Mr. Augustus Haven, of Bloomingdale, who owns and carries on a cheese farm at that place, informs us that during the past season he has consumed two hundred and sixteen thousand and eighty-five pounds of milk, from which he obtained twenty-seven thousand four hundred and four pounds of cheese from the hoop. The product of his factory was sold at an average of one shilling per pound—yielding three thousand four hundred and twenty-five dollars and fifty cents. By some experiments made by Mr. Haven, it was found that it takes thirty pounds of milk to yield one pound of butter, while a fraction less than ten pounds will yield one pound cured cheese ready for the market.
