Over 500 patrons were in attendance at the Pennsylvania State Grange. The closing resolutions appealed to agriculturists everywhere in the State to learn the objects of the movement from reliable sources without delay, and if favorable to show the principles practically at an early day. Amendments to the constitution of the National Grange were in the main ratified. The Master's closing address congratulated the patrons present upon the marvelous growth of the order in Pennsylvania as well as in other States. He predicted that Pennsylvania would have 1,000 granges next January with a membership of over 50,000. One county in the State already had forty granges, with a membership of nearly 4,000, and the same county had but one grange with less than 100 members on the 1st of January. The Grange adjourned to meet in regular session at Williamsport, January 5, 1875.
