96th Horseshoe Tossers Holds Finals Of Tourney

Stealing a march on the rest of the camp, the 96th C. A. held the finals of its regimental horse-shoe tournament yesterday. Pvt, Hal Buell, shortstop on the regimental hardball team of the Reg. Hq. Btry. faced Pvt. George Dixon of Battery G for the singles championship of the regiment, and the honor of representing the 96th in the camp championship.

In the doubles championship Buell teams up with Ed Hrycenko to face Dixon and Pvt. Karl Garlick of G.

Taking their cue from the World Series system both the singles and doubles titles went to the contestants winning four out of a maximum of seven games. Lieut. L. S. Hill, regimental athletic director, was in charge of the tournament.
