BOSTON.

We hear that Capt. Turrel in a Sloop which sail'd
about three Weeks ago from this Place for New Pro-
vidence, was taken in his passage by a French Privateer
Sloop in Latitude 37 : She afterwards took Capt. Hop-
kins in a Vessel from Rhode Island bound to the West
Indies. She also took another Vessel from the Coast of Guinea
or New York, with 80 Slaves on board. The Cap-
tain of the Privateer, after taking some of the cargo
out of Captain Turrel's Vessel, put the Crew of the
Guineaman and Captain Hopkins's, on board Capt.
Turrel's Vessel, and gave her to him; who arrived
last Week at Providence in Rhode Island. The Priva-
teer's Hands being reduced to about 40 by the Cap-
tures he had made, it is thought she would soon return to
Port.
