Names New Director
ANCHORAGE -- The Alaska Aeronautics and Communications Commission said it had accepted the resignation of Herman Porter of Anchorage as director of aeronautics for the Department of Aviation.
His resignation is effective March 1, according to the Associated Press.
The commission named Eugene G. Roguska of Anchorage as acting director. Roguska has been chief engineer of the Department of Aviation for the last three years, after joining the department in 1953.
Porter, aeronautics director since 1954, said he was resigning to accept a post as engineer with Harold Hoskins and Associates, Greeley, Colo.
