Former Falls Teacher Awarded Scholarship

Former Columbia Falls school teacher, Mrs. Homer Carter, was featured in a Great Falls Tribune story Wednesday when it was announced she had been awarded a Vassar college scholarship for the 1953 summer session. She is the fourth Montanan to receive the honor awarded by the Montana branch of the American Association of University Women.

Mrs. Carter has been attending Montana State college in Bozeman where she will receive her master of science degree in June.

While teaching in the local school the Carters lived in Columbia Heights where Homer had a radio shop.
