A small frame shanty, belonging to the F P. & E. R. R. Co. and situated on the company's property near Sixth street, was gutted by flames from a heating stove.

The contents of the building, consisting of a radio and a few work men's supplies, were all destroyed. Firemen, under the direction of Asst. Fire Chief Eli Mackey and driver George Knuttinen responded to a call placed by a resident passing by the scene.

Fire Chief Converse learned from F. P & E. R. R. Co. officials that the remains of the structure will be torn down.
