Mrs. J. W. Justis spent Tuesday with Mrs. A. T. Hickman at Painter.

Mrs. Smith, of Venton, Md., is visiting her daughter, Mrs. L. M. Shockley.

Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Young entertained the 42 club on Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Kelly and daughter, Francis, spent the week-end in Norfolk.

Mrs. Freeman, of New York, has been visiting her son, Mr. George Freeman.

Miss Florence Fray and Miss Alice Jones spent Tuesday night with Mrs. S. S. Mapp.

Quite a crowd of young folks gave Mr. Rowland Mapp a "surprise party" Tuesday evening.

Mrs. Lottie Byrd has returned home after visiting her brother at Craddockville for two weeks.

Mr. Herman Smith returned home Saturday after having spent the Xmas holidays with his parents at Venton, Md.

Miss Emily Gladstone, of Norfolk, was home for the Colonna-Lewis wedding, which took place Saturday last.

The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bundick is somewhat improved after having been quite ill at the home of Mrs. O. L. Byrd.

Miss Christine Gladstone returned to Harrisonburg, Sunday morning, having spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Gladstone.

The Womans Missionary society of Broadwater Church will meet at the home of Mrs. John Justis Wednesday, January 18th. All members and friends are requested to be present.
