Orlando, Dec. 22.-A Central Florida crime prevention conference, sponsored by H. F. Baker, police chief of Orlando, and at which police officials, prominent judges, sheriffs, mayors and high officials of a number of counties in the Central Florida district are expected to be present, will be held in Orlando December 28.
Addresses by Mayor L. M. Autrey, Chief Baker, Senator Franklin O. King, and possibly Doyle Carlton are tentatively on the program. An invitation was dispatched to Carlton today by Chief Baker.
Baker, a member of the International Association of Finger Print Experts, and recognized as one of the leading Bertillion experts in the South, assisted by Superintendent of Identification J. C. Stone, will stage a demonstration in the art of crime detection and identification during the conference.
A feature of the meeting will be a demonstration of the Bertillion system of finger print identification and methods used by detectives in obtaining finger prints, classification and final identification of the criminal. The bringing out and developing of finger prints through use of various chemicals, latest devices in detective photography and practically every other phase of crime detection will be shown in detail.
