She Sued Fields

"Let her sue! I've been sued before—by experts," Comedian W. C. Fields was quoted as saying when informed that beautiful Carlotta Monti, actress, had announced intention to file suit for $200,000 damages. "The contemplated suit," according to Miss Monti's attorney, Clifford A. Roche of Los Angeles, "comes as a result of a row at the comedian's home last September. Miss Monti alleges she was struck with a cane and a rubber hammer."

Fields termed the incident a domestic disturbance between Miss Monti and the butler. Miss Monti, shown in photo, was an advisor and fortune-board reader for the famed comedian.
