Full Text

A Silly Canard. The report sent from Austin to the San Antonio Express that the representative of the Gazette at the state capital, Mr. E. G. Senter, had been recalled, is absolutely devoid of all foundation. Mr. Senter enjoys the confidence of the management of the Gazette, which has frequently found expression in hearty commendations and more than once in more substantial recognition. There is no more promising young journalist in the state and his zeal, industry and devotion to his paper are worthy of all praise. Any favors shown him by our friends at Austin will be appreciated and reciprocated here.
