Full Text

The Topeka papers are full of the doings of the Prohibition Convention. There seem to be very few politicians among the delegates, Sunday schools and churches being principally represented. Dr. F. S. McCabe delivered a very conservative but very sound address, in which he conceded just what the Prohibitionists should have conceded from the first. The prohibition question seems about clear of party politics, and will probably continue to rest upon its own merits unless the present gathering by some radical action forces it back.
