KITCHEN WINS EXPENSE CASE

Decision in favor of J. A. Kitchen has been returned by District Judge Thomas H. Pugh in the case in which Kitchen sought to compel the state auditing board to approve an expense account incurred while traveling for the state industrial commission, of which Kitchen is a member.

The auditing board, led by Governor A. G. Sorlie, held that the travel was not done for the commission and was unauthorized and refused to approve the account.

In a letter to attorneys for opposing sides Judge Pugh found the industrial commission had approved the bill before it was presented to the auditing board.
