"What we are doing in Korea is trying to stop World War III before it starts by repelling the attack against, not only Korea, but against the whole idea of collective security . . . The principles for which we are fighting . . . are common to all men who believe in freedom and the dignity of man. We will remain steadfast to those purposes . . .
