The Albany Gazette has published Governor Knight's message; "as a curiosity or as a specimen of democratick talent". in Rhode-Island. We forbear to copy the pungent remarks of the "Gazette," although precedents might be quoted where Editors have been applauded for their reiterated and unnecessary attempts to degrade the reputation of the Chief Magistrate, and consequently to diminish the respectability of the State abroad. The "Gazette," observes, in conclusion, "Verily, Rhode-Island, it may of truth be said that thou art wholly be-Knighted."
