ALGERINE WAR.

Ship Mark and Abigail, Capt. Foster, has arrived at Portsmouth from Gibraltar. Mr. Barrell the supercargo, writes, that the Algerines are at war with the Americans; that he saw Mr. Consul Lear in the Bay of Gibraltar, on board of the store ship, which the Dey would not receive, but ordered Mr. Lear and his family immediately away.

Mr B. has dispatches for government from Mr Lear.

The Mark and Abigail was boarded from a British letter of marque, but on showing a paper, announcing the revocation of the Orders in Council, &c. was suffered to pass.
