Agricultural Events To Be Announced At Later Date

SECOND ANNUAL EVENT OCT. 25

Home Economics Department Plan Four Divisions Of Food, Furnishings, Clothing, Flowers

A total of forty classes have been arranged by the Home Economics Department of the Boyce and Berryville High Schools in connection with the second annual Clarke County Vocational Fair to be held Friday, October 25 in the Boyce Agricultural building.

The agriculture classes have not been arranged this week, but will be announced at a later date.

The Home Economic department has divided its display into four divisions of foods with 21 classes; clothing and fancy work of 12 events; home furnishings of 5 classes, and flowers with 2 events.

They are as follows:

Foods

Class 1—Best display of canned fruits and vegetables, prizes, $1, 50 cents and ribbon.

Class 2—Best display of pickles. Prizes 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 3—Best display of relishes. Prizes, 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 4—Best display of catsup. Prizes. 50 cents. ribbon and ribbon.

Class 5—Best display of jellies. Prizes, 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 6—Best display of jams. Prizes. 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 7—Best display of marmalades. Prizes, 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 8—Best display of conserves. Prizes, 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 9—Best individual jar of tomatoes. Prizes. 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 10—Best individual jar of peaches. Prizes, 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 11—Best individual jar of snap or green beans. Prizes, 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 12—Best plate of seafoam candy. Prizes, 50 cents. ribbon and ribbon.

Class 13—Best plate of chocolate fudge. Prizes. 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 14—Best devilsfood cake. Prizes 75 cents, 25 cents and ribbon.

Class 15—Best cocoanut cake. Prizes, 75 cents, 25 cents, ribbon.

Class 16—Best angelfood cake. Prizes, 75 cents, 25 cents and ribbon.

Class 17—Best pan of rolls. Prizes, 50 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 28—Best knitted coat. Prizes, $1. 50 cents and ribbon.

Class 29—Best embroidered centerpiece. Prizes, 25 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

Class 30—Best embroidered pillow slips. Prizes, 25 cents, ribbon and ribbon.

The fair is sponsored by the Home Economics and Agricultural classes of the Boyce and Berryville High Schools and the Clarke County 4-H Clubs.
