DESIGNATE McKENZIE ACTING POSTMASTER

Washington, November 30.-At the request of Representative Lon A. Scott, the Postoffice Department has designated J. G. McKenzie as acting postmaster at Big Sandy.

His commission as acting postmaster will be sent out at once.

Mr. McKenzie was recommended for the postmastership and his nomination transmitted to the Senate, but confirmation was held up at the instance of Senator McKellar, who insisted that the department had ignored the soldier preference rulings in selecting McKenzie.
