WATCH IS RECOVERED FOR THE OWNER

When the A. B. Cady residence on Fremont street was entered about two weeks ago, and a watch belonging to George Haskins was stolen, with other property, a description was given the police. Today the police and sheriff's office, co-operating, recovered the watch and returned it to the owner. It was a Burlington watch, with the monogram 'G. R. H.' engraved on it. The watch was in the possession of a negro named Johnson, who said he had been loaned it by another negro named Lagway, the latter declaring that he had received it from a negro named Williams, and had loaned him $6 for it. The fact that Johnson had it was imparted to the sheriffs and police by a fourth negro. Williams is said to have gone to Cheyenne today, but a telephone message was sent to the sheriff's office ahead of his arrival, and his arrest is thought to be imminent. None of the other stolen property was recovered. Williams is said to be a professional burglar, working east from Pocatello, Idaho.
