Full Text
Juneau observers report that the Alaska Legislature, for the first time in years, is not cudgeling its individual brains to devise new legislation. Instead it is devoting much of its energies to clearing away the dead wood in existing legal enactments by altering or repealing the numerous statutes that have grown obsolete or deficient with the passage of time and changing conditions.
The number of new measures so far introduced has been relatively small compared to earlier sessions, when there was a plethora of wealth in the treasury.
