INTERDENOMINATIONAL MINISTERS ALLIANCE HAS FINE MEETING

The Interdenominational Ministers Alliance held an interesting meeting Tuesday at the Central M. E. church, the Rev. J. A. Baxter, pastor. Rev E. M. Hurley president of the group was in charge while Rev. N. A. Bridges acted as secretary in the absence of Rev. R. A. Green, Rev. Singleton conducted devotionals.

President Hurley outlined the annual youth program and plans are being made for an early announcement of the date of this event.

In view of the unexpected departure of Rev. J. H. Singleton from the ranks, due to his transfer to another city, the popular C. M. E. minister was lauded for his faithful work as chaplain for the alliance and the Rev. T. P. Grissom appointed head of the committee to draw up resolutions expressed the union's appreciation for his services.

The alliance expressed the hope that the situation at the West Hunter Street A. and P. will be cleared up and amicably settled. At the same time the union expressed the belief that a boycott should be supported by members of the racial group in order that Negroes might get a fair deal such as was due them.

The Rev. DeWitt Talmadge Murray, recently appointed pastor of the Radcliffe Memorial Presbyterian church, was presented to the group and accepted as a new member. He delivered a short but interesting talk.

The alliance accepted the invitation of President M. S. Davage of Clark university to be on the Clark campus Thursday, November 28, at a Thanksgiving dinner.

The order of the day next Tuesday will feature Dr. C. I. Johnson, pastor of the Fort Street M. E. church.
