Finals This Week
Finals in a Memorial weekend tennis tournament at the Bluffton Tennis courts, rained out last Saturday, will be played this coming weekend.
In one bracket Woodrow Little has qualified for the singles championship round, and will meet the winner of the Nate Ganger-Roger Howe tilt.
Doubles championship round will pit Roger and Wilbur Howe against Nate Ganger and Charles Bell.
In tournament play so far Roger Howe defeated Norman Triplett, 6-2, 6-0; Ganger defeated W. A. Howe, 3-6, 6-0, 6-2; Little defeated Lou Zeaman, 6-8, 6-4, 6-3; won from Bell by default and defeated Stan Ellis, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3; Triplett defeated Charles Sheridan, 6-1, 6-2; Ellis defeated Charles Steiner, 6-1, 2-6, 6-2; and Bell defeated Clair Fett, 6-2, 6-2.
In doubles play Howe and Howe defeated Zeaman-Ellis, 6-4, 6-3; and Ganger-Bell defeated Steiner-Little, 6-3, 6-3.
