"There's something about a lighthouse," said Mrs. Singleton, "that appeals to children even as it does to grownups. Perhaps it is the romance of the sea, or the instinctive sense of security that even the picture of a lighthouse suggests. At any rate, we parents have heard plenty of comment from the children on this year's Seal, and that is a gratifying effect.
"More and more, school children are beginning to realize their youthful part in the health campaigns of the nation, and the Parent-Teacher Associations are glad to foster the interest engendered in the classrooms looking toward healthful, hygienic living.
"Every year the Christmas Seals advance that trend, and I am sure the children this year are doing and will do their part with prompting to further the good work of the local tuberculosis association".
