Indianapolis, Aug. 21.—Near Union City, on the Bee Line sleeper coming to this city early yesterday morning, the passengers were aroused by the screams of a young lady, who afterward informed the conductor that some one attempted to share her berth. She recognized the fellow by his voice, and when the conductor drew him from his hiding place she presented a revolver and made him apologize on bended knees for the insult. She was in undress and so was he, and the scene is represented as highly dramatic. The lady, by her bearing and beauty, bore evidence of high culture, and she claimed to belong to one of the first families of St. Louis. The man is supposed to live in Cleveland, but he avoided identity as well as did the lady.
