PVT. SNODDY RETURNS
FROM OVERSEAS DUTY

Pvt. John M. Snoddy, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Snoddy, of Marion, has returned from service outside the continental United States and is now being processed through the Army Ground and Service Forces Redistribution Station in Miami Beach, Fla., where his next assignment will be determined.

Pvt. Snoddy served 12 months as gunner in the Italian theater of operations.

While there he was awarded the European theater ribbon as well as the combat infantry badge and the good conduct ribbon.

Before entering the service Pvt. Snoddy was a student at Wofford College, Spartanburg, S. C. He became a member of the armed forces on March 18, 1943.
