Beware of MAD DOGS!

A Short time since, a Mrs. Mary Martin, of Pembrook, in this State, was bit in the hand by a mad dog; the dog discovering evident tokens of madness, was immediately killed. No uncommon symptoms were noticed by the woman, until the evening of the 10th inst. when she complained of her hands being very painful, and of her being otherwise indisposed. From this period, the symptoms of the Hydrophobia came upon her apace, and after lingering until the 12th inst. in the utmost agony, she expired. Previous to her dissolution, she would make a noise; resembling the howl of a wolf or a dog, and exhibited every symptom of madness. The above may be relied upon as a fact, we having received the account from a person who was present, and who attended at her funeral.
