A vote of some 600 was polled in Harlem precincts on Tuesday, inclement weather having no effect in keeping voters at home. Following the trend of the nation, Harlem and Blaine county's vote was predominantly Democratic, with majorities accorded Democratic candidates all along the line, with few exceptions.

Thos. A. Ross, Republican, seeking return to the Montana Senate, was the notable exception in Blaine county. The veteran legislator trailed his opponent, Bert L. Murphy, until a late hour Wednesday when his lead became strong enough to assure reelection.

The only other county office in which a contest existed was that of county attorney, Charles O'Donnell winning over his Republican opponent, B. W. Thomas. Congressman Wesley D'Ewart, R., stands with Sen. Ross as a winning Republican accorded Blaine's vote.
