CHRISTMAS MUSIC
AS USUAL DESPITE
FIRE LOSSES

Val's music shop operated by Mrs.
Vanoig Cotes has lost yet as usual
this holiday season will Christmas music for those along
Front Street. Last March the
music shop went up in flames in the
big fire and the music equipment
with it.

Undaunted by such tribulations,
Val still wanted music and called to the
rescue. Called Frank Webb, local
manager of the Alaska Telephone
Co. Frank rigged up a loud
speaker and via his truck and
whatever mysteries Frank puts into
those things, Val's shop was
putting forth with the good Christ-
mas melodies.
