BALTIMORE, Oct. 10.

Agreeable to public notice, a number of gentlemen met at Mr. Evans's yesterday evening, to take into consideration measures to effect the navigation of the river Susquehanna, when it was unanimously agreed that a subscription be opened for the purpose of raising a sum of money to be applied towards removing the obstructions in the bed of the tide, which will admit with ease and safety the produce of that extensive river to the town of Baltimore. To effect so desirable an object, the citizens will be waited upon in a few days for subscriptions, when it is to be hoped a spirit of liberality will be evinced, equal to the importance of the undertaking.
