Who are the Candidates?

Several democrats of this County have been nominated as independent candidates. Only one of them, so far as we know, has said whether he will run or not: Mr. A. J. Longshore has declared, through the HERALD, that he will not be a candidate, and would not serve if elected. What about the others? Will they run or not? Many democrats are asking this question.

We don't dictate to any man, but if any of the above named nominees want to decline publicly they can do so, and it shan't cost them one cent. The columns of the Herald are open, free, to all such.
