I attended the most interesting club meeting the other day -- and came away with so many new ideas for my home, that I'd like to tell you about it. The entire program was completely fascinating "The Story of Glass and Home Decorating" -- which our chairman, and a group of six members whom she had selected, presented following a complete program guide furnished by Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. The afternoon just flew by as our members told us the complete history of glass from its first discovery by a group of Phoenician sailors up to its many uses today. One very interesting part of the program was the presentation of three beautiful full colored wall charts showing how glass can be used for decorating in today's home. These too, were part of the material furnished by the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company and prepared by Theresa Booth Wells, the noted club authority.

All of us were especially eager to get decorating suggestions for our own homes -- and were certainly not disappointed -- for the members who participated in the program showed us 101 ways in which glass can be used to make our homes more convenient, as well as more beautiful.

I'm chairman of another club meeting scheduled soon for a different group of women, and I'm planning to obtain this same material to present to this group. The program chairman told me that the material furnished by Pittsburgh Plate included everything from newspaper notices to printed booklets. And that certainly simplifies the problem of what to do to keep members interested during an afternoon, doesn't it?
