Amsterdam Jan. 37. The magnificent Strong-Bridge, composed of three Arches, Situated on the Herengracht, between the Royal Palace and the Rue de Leyde, fell down suddenly Yesterday, about Six o'Clock in the Evening. Many Persons who Were at the Instant passing over the Bridge, which was one of the most frequented in the City, were buried under the Ruins, but we cannot yet learn the exact Number. This unhappy Accident has occasioned the more Surprize, as the Bridge appeared very solid and substantial, and was almost new. A few Moments before it fell, a considerable Number of Chaises and other Carriages had passed over.
