Full Text

Gen. Morgan.

Gen. Geo. W. Morgan addressed the Democracy at the Town Hall, in Ashland, on Tuesday evening. The audience was large; and we noticed many Republicans present. The General handled the issues of the day in an able and eloquent manner. The Administration, with its corruptions and incapacity, was examined with searching scrutiny. If integrity, fitness and zeal for the public welfare are necessary qualifications for statesmanship, Mr. Grant and those selected as his advisers, deserve to be hurled from power by an outraged people, at the recurrence of the next Presidential election. We have not room for even a synopsis of the speech, but will devote some space to it next week.
