Grand Stand to Be Erected in Front of City Hall—Change in Route.
Plans have been arranged for the erection of a grand stand in front of the City Hall, in connection with the visit of President Roosevelt next Saturday. The stand will take in about the whole of the front of the hall, the centre portion being reserved for the presidential party and those who take the drive and the city government, while the wings will be reserved for prominent citizens. The stand will extend well out from the sidewalk and will accommodate a large number of people.
A slight correction has been made in the route of the presidential party, as after leaving Broad street the route will be down Weybosset to Eddy and through that street to the rear door of the City Hall, through which the party will enter.
Tomorrow at 1:30 Senators Aldrich and Wetmore, Gov. Kimball and Congressman Capron will meet at the State House to complete the arrangements for the day.
