Full Text
The inventory was edited by James K. Anthony, William W. Craig, Noel Gray and Dr. Walter I. Murray, all of the Social Science Department.
As stated by these editors. "It is becoming increasingly clear that we must continue our efforts to improve the quality of instruction and learning if we expect our products to survive in a rapidly changing social order. It is equally clear that we must avail ourselves of every opportunity to use devices which will afford information about those whom we teach."
The inventory contains analyses of data obtained from an instrument designed to show students' opinion of instruction and instructors. These analyses are reported from three points of view. The first analysis is made of the overall social science offerings, or a composite of social science courses offered during the 1953-54 school year. The second analysis has to do with the specific areas, such as American History, Economics, and the like. This third analysis deals with the individual course instructor, or the reactions of the students to this instruction.
