Delegate Bartlett Asks $10 Million For Fairbanks Flood Control Project

WASHINGTON, (AP) - A $10,567,000 flood control project for Fairbanks, Alaska, was urged Tuesday by Delegate Bartlett.

He told a House Public Works subcommittee, which is considering an over-all flood control authorization bill, that the work is necessary to protect Fairbanks as well as the nearby Ladd Air Force Base.

The project would include works to divert flood flows from the Chena River into the Tanana River above Fairbanks.
