Mayor Parsons is losing no time in the matter of pushing matters relating to public improvements. In so far as it lies in his power to do so he is carrying on a correspondence with a view to securing the needed aid for City Engineer Thistlewood. In order that the important preliminary work for the new drainage system may be done; and in the meantime the Ohio and Twenty-eighth street improvements are receiving proper attention. The Board of Public Improvements has gone over the plans for this work carefully, and has approved them, setting dates for the public hearings. This board has not yet definitely decided upon the question of having one or two drainage districts, but will take this up in due time and doubtless dispose of it wisely.
