The Columbia Phonograph company in the March "Columbia Record" announces Miss Eleanor Painter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Painter of this city, as one of the new artists secured by that company for its records. In announcing Miss Painter the "Record" has the following to say: "Miss Painter is a thorough artist. Five years ago she was studying in Germany. From there she was chosen to sing leading lyric roles at Covent Garden and later at Charlottenburg opera in Berlin. The success of "The Lilac Domino" and Victor Herbert's "Princess Pat" need no mention--Eleanor Painter being notably responsible for the musical enjoyments in both these operas."
