Case of J. C. Colt.—This individual, who was charged and convicted of the murder of Samuel Adams, a book printer in the city of New York, put an end to his existence a few minutes before he was to have been executed, on the 18th ult., by stabbing himself to the heart with a knife. About an hour before this occurrence, at his request, he was united in the bonds of matrimony with a girl of the name of Caroline M. Henshaw, formerly his mistress, by the minister attending him. He then requested to be permitted to be alone until the hour of his execution, when he committed suicide in the manner above described.
