DUCE, SCHUSCHNIGG TO MAKE OTTO KING

Restoration of Hapsburgs Is Slated Soon, Paris Reporter Writes

Paris, June 9.-(A)-Premier Mussolini of Italy and Chancellor Kurt Schuschnigg of Austria virtually have decided upon the restoration of Prince Otto of Hapsburg to the Austrian throne June 20 or 30, Genevieve Tabouis asserted Tuesday in the newspaper L'Oeuvre.

Prince Otto's restoration has received Nazi approval and some German ministers will be among the new monarch's advisers, the foreign affairs commentator declared.

"At Vienna, during the last few days, Von Papen (Franz von Papen, German minister to Austria) is understood to have informed Monarchists close to Otto that they make a mistake in opposing their policy to those of the Nazis," the newspaper writer declared.

"Chancellor Adolf Hitler," the minister allegedly said, "is far from being antagonistic to a restoration of the Hapsburgs."

The Little Entente, parts of which once knew the rule of the Hapsburg dual monarchy, has served repeated notice it will not stand for a Hapsburg restoration in Austria.
