WASHINGTON. Dec. 8.
The new Representative chamber is admirably adapted for the deliberations of a popular assembly. Its great extent, being the largest room in America, renders it very commodious to the members, who may have ingress to, or egress from any part of the house, without the least disturbance to others. The gallery is in front of the speaker's chair, and is sufficiently large for the present population of the city. The voice is heard distinctly throughout the whole area.
