A LESSON IN DETERMINATION
Fire dealt a devastating blow to three Tabor City brothers two weeks ago when it rendered a total loss the furniture plant that they had founded and nursed into productivity during the past year.
The Cox Brothers furniture business had been nip and tuck ever since it began, and only a few weeks ago had reached a point from which the chances of showing a profit could be viewed with optimism.
And then comes the fire, and all that has been worked for is lost.
Such an unfortunate stroke of fate could understandably discourage the owners to such an extent that it would mark the end of the hard fought venture.
In nature. The amount of work and determination that must be exhibited if any new business is to succeed leaves little reserve energy for coping with so great a set-back.
The Cox boys, however, seem to have that necessary extra drive. They have indicated that they intend to rebuild their plant and get back in the furniture making business as soon as it is humanly possible.
It is with a great deal of admiration that we take this occasion to congratulate them on their decision, and wish for them every success and a broader smile from Dame Fortune in the future.
