HAMPDEN FAIR IN TROUBLE.

Three Officers Suspended for Failure to Pay Premiums.

In the meeting of the Board of Review of the National Trotting association in New York Tuesday the board considered some 75 cases of infringement of the trotting rules of the association. The matter of failure to pay premiums was brought up in the case of the Hampden County fair of Holyoke, Mass. Three officers of the fair were suspended, T. J. Shinkwin, the president; S. Ducharme, the treasurer, and D. H. Young, the secretary. Five claims were filed against the association. The officials pleaded bad weather and a consequent monetary loss at the races in September, but were suspended until the purses are paid.
