MANY MAKE CALLS ON DELEGATE WHILE EAST
Delegate Bartlett has had many visitors according to the following contained in his newsletter of August 25.
Lt. Gen. Nathan F. Twining, Commanding General of the Alaskan Command, was a visitor this week to Washington from his Fort Richardson headquarters. General Twining testified before the House Armed Services Committee in connection with the B-36 bomber inquiry now under way.
Paul C. Herring. United States Marshal for the Third Division, called at Delegate Bartlett's office while in Washington on official business. Mr. Herring plans to return to his home at Anchorage shortly.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Green of Anchorage were recent Washington visitors.
Mrs. Dorothy J. Awes, recently appointed law clerk to District Judge Anthony J. Dimond, was a visitor to Delegate Bartlett's office this week.
Perry S. McLain, Department Commander. Alaska Department of the American Legion, came through Washington this week on his way to the Legion convention in Philadelphia. Mr. McLain expects to return to his home at Anchorage over the highway.
Walter E. Walsh of Juneau called on Delegate Bartlett while in Washington recently. Mr. Walsh is Area Rent Director for Alaska.
Mrs. Eiler Hansen, widow of the late Superintendent of the Pioneer's Home at Sitka, stopped in Washington recently on her way to Europe. Mrs. Hansen is now living in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Luella M. Skinner of Seward was a recent visitor to Delegate Bartlett's office while visiting in Washington.
