Detroit, June 4 (A.P.)—A group of
local sportsmen, headed by Floyd
Fitzsimmons, is negotiating with Jack
Dempsey, former heavyweight cham-
pion, to meet Johnny Risko of Cleve-
land in a 10-round boxing contest
here July 4, it was announced by
Charles M. Hall, member of the
Michigan state boxing commission.
The proposed bout, which would be
held at Navin Field, American
League baseball park, would head-
line a lineup including a light-
weight bout between Sammy Mandell and Phil McGraw.
